In Honolulu, a group of remarkable men - and a few of their wives - meet monthly in the tradition of Gertrude Stein’s “Salon”: a circle for dialogue, reflection, and discovery. It was an honor to be invited to speak with them last week.

What unfolded was less a presentation, and more a shared space of presence, curiosity and truth.

When asked about the courageous coaches in their lives, the room lit up. Stories of mentors, bosses, and parents poured out - people who had guided, challenged and stood for their growth. The conversation expanded into happiness and meaning, privilege and politics, and the ways that spiritual practice - and especially community - shape our sense of a good life.

The beauty wasn’t in agreement, but in presence. They listened deeply. They shared openly. And by the end, what was valued most:

Sometimes we just need to remember what’s important.

Listening to them, I was struck by how universal this is - we all need people + places to remember and practice. So I’ll pass the same question to you:

⛹🏽‍♀️ What’s one small action you’re willing to take consistently this month to strengthen your head, heart, or gut health? 🪜

This is how fulfillment is cultivated: not in big leaps, but in experiments, reflections, and communities that remind us to keep choosing what matters. That’s where we’ll be going, together, in the season ahead.

Stay tuned: I’ll be sharing more soon about a gathering designed to help you harvest exactly that kind of fulfillment.
